3D Reader/Writer Box with Windows 8

Hi all,
My XP computer died and I have a new Windows 8 computer. I use 3D organiser and a reader/writer box to transfer designs to my machine, I use Embird for everything else. Have installed both the 3D and Embird and both are working fine but am not able to transfer designs to the machine as the message tells me that there is no reader/writer box installed. Have searched for drivers, found a few but none solve the problem. Anyone out there with a fix for me before give up.

no communication between 5D software and Ruby sewing machine

I recently purchased a Ruby sewing machine and 5D embroidery software. I installed things according to the directions and activated my dongle. The first time I tried to send a design from the 5D software to the Ruby via the USB cable, I am being told “Communication Module not found on the machine” and I cannot do the transfer. I then resort to copying the design to a jump drive and getting the design from the jump drive to the Ruby that way. Anyone know why I can’t use the USB direct to do the Send1

Control Panel

PLEASE HELP!!

I have an older model Customizing Program in which I have lost the controls for lettering and shapes(I can still see the design and edit tab), from the control panel. I know I clicked the wrong thing and they just went away, but I can not bring them back. I am using the Customizing Embroidery System 5 on an XP machine. Please tell me how to get them back.

Installing 3D with Vista/Windows 7

For all those who are still struggling to install 3D with Windows 7 – here’s what worked for me. I have the Professional full version of 3D and recently upgraded to Windows 7. Initially, I couldn’t find the “patch file” for the dongle. What I discovered is that the link to the patch file is incorrect. You need to go to the address bar and change www.emnetsoftware.com to www.vsmsoftware.net to find the patch. For full details of the installation process and the drivers etc. you need, go to www.joeldare.com
