Bee Creative with Fabrics and Embroidery

Sometimes, the perfect embroidery design, fabric, and threads create a project that is truly a work of art.

This zip bag created by Secrets of Embroidery Facebook Group member Sadine Cornelius has all of the components of a WOW project: gorgeous embroidery, coordinating fabrics, and perfectly matched colors.

Sadine used Jeweled Bee from Anandas Divine Designs as the centerpiece of her zip bag. It is simply stunning against a white tone-on-tone background. The design fits the background shape like a glove with plenty of contrast so that it really stands out.

Not only does the coordinating fabric include flowers and bees, it also has touches of white, yellow, and turquoise that are included in the bee embroidery.

Satin stitched piping in matching turquoise and yellow threads finishes the bag like an exclamation point, perfectly framing the embroidery and pulling accent colors from the background.

This is one of those “I wish that I had made that” projects, which has everything going for it. Beautiful job, Sadine!
