Update from Carolyn Keber

Here’s an update from Carolyn on what she has been up to lately….

Hi everyone, This is a wee note to keep you up to date with what I am doing. I have been busy beta testing Embird 2009 for the Embird folk. The new program looks good and although Embird Editor and Manager have a few nice new features Embird Studio has a number of changes which I am sure you will enjoy. I have also been busy writing a new Embird Club lesson so if you’re in my Embird Club then you should see this new lesson next week. It’s a lesson with a sneak preview on one of the features in Embird Studio.I don’t know when the next version of Embird will be released and I don’t even know if there will be a charge, sorry.

Just a reminder to you that I have full lessons available for all Embird programs. These are Embird Editor and Manager, Embird Studio, Embird Sfumato, Embird Cross-Stitch and Font Engine. My Font Engine tutorial covers both Font Engine in Embird Basic and also the new Font Engine in Studio that so many people initially struggle with. In Font Engine/Studio I take you right through how to use it and after following my lessons I am sure that you’ll be far more comfortable with Studio’s new look for Font Engine.

Recently I also released an extensive tutorial on Splitting for the Gigahoop. This tutorial was a while in the making and it covers all the difficulties people have had with aligning the Gigahoop and how to get perfect alignments.

I am constantly working on new lessons to help people get the most out of their Embird and PE Design programs. I am also always available by email when you have any queries or have struck a problem. I cannot always guarantee to know every answer but I am always willing to help if I can.

Kind regards,
Carolyn Keber

Carolyn:
How does the Embird Cross Stitch program compare with the 4D Cross Stitch program? What is a “Plug-In”? Is there going to be a new 2009 Cross Stitch program? I’m looking for a powerful cross stitch program to graph elaborate cross stitch patterns that I own. Are you able to scan commercial graphs (which I am conscientious and ethical about purchasing) and get accurate cross stitch? I love giving cross stitch gifts but would love a quicker way of doing them (of course, ha ha) . Thank you for your time and expertise.

Sincerely,
Pam

Hello Carolyn, I purchased your embird tutorials in 2007, (going by the post date on the backage). They have been wonderful but I have been slack of late and I may need to update???? As I have the embird 2008 program do I wait until 2009 comes out or is it better to update now?

Second question is: Are you running any workshops?
