This is one Halloween embroidery project the kids will want to make with you!
Halloween means scary fun and these little ghosties are super easy to make. Just stitch, rinse and dry!
As with most freestanding lace (FSL) projects, use the same thread in the bobbin as that with which you are stitching – only two colors here.
When stitching is complete, remove everything from the hoop and trim the WSS close to the design stitchout.
Rinse just until the stickiness is gone. You want some of the WSS left in the ghost to hold its shape. Pat it dry to remove excess water.
Place a golf ball on a drinking glass.
Put the ghost on top of the ball
and shape it for a round head. Use a blow drier while shaping to set the shape.
To hang, string ribbon through the hanging holes or place a tea light in a glass goblet and sit the ghost on top for tabletop decor.
Get these ghosties in 5×7 or 6×8 sizes for $3.60 each or get both sizes for just $5.40 in the Pop-up Store this week!
