Outline Alignment Method Tutorial
by Hazel Tunbridge
There are always new challenges and skills to be learnt in the embroidery world as our machines become more complicated and our hoops larger!
With the introduction of Tutorials Hazel hopes to share some of the lessons she has learnt since buying her first embroidery machine!
|
Members of Hazel's Embroidery group tested out her first tutorial and made helpful comments. It would not have been possible without them and she is grateful for all they have taught her over the years.
Learn this method of combining designs accurately using Outline alignment stitches as featured in Hazel's article in Flair magazine, issue 19.
All designs featured here are part of the Japanese Blossoms collection. |

In this tutorial you will learn how to combine the three designs together (as shown at left) using Hazels outline alignment stitches.
The designs will be stitched in the 4x4 hoop and when finished will look like the design shown at right. |
|
Once you have mastered the method of combining these three designs together, you will be able to play with your own combinations of the Japanese Blossoms.

Be sure to check out all the designs in the Japanese Blossoms collection. By combining all of Hazels designs together in different ways, you will be able to create your own projects, like the Japanese Blossoms Triptych below.
