Using Wide Satin Stitch (for Studio V5 & above)

In this tutorial Carolyn takes you through a lesson on using the Wide Satin Stitch feature in Embird Studio.

The wide satin stitch setting was released in the Embird Studio Version 5 and is a great alternative to regular satin stitch when you are creating large fill areas that require satin stitch but the areas are too large for regular satin stitch to be applied.

Follow along with Carolyn in this lesson and try out this new feature. You will be able to apply it to all sorts of designs – not only lettering, but to any fill area.

Watch the video and see how Carolyn uses wide satin stitch and then refer to the written notes that accompany the video. The video can even be downloaded and played on your iPod Touch (if you have one)!

Changing Long Satin Stitch Fills (for Embird 2004 and above)

In this lesson you will learn how to change a fill or fills in Embird. You may have a design that when viewed in the 3D stitch mode in Embird Editor, appears to have gaps in it. This is caused by very long satin stitches, these are hard for your machine to sew out. The best thing to do is change the fill in those affected area. Carolyn will show you how.

Converting Studio Fill to Sfumato Fill (for Studio V4 & above)

In this lesson Carolyn will show you how to take an existing eof file - Embird Studio File - and change a part of that file into an interesting fill using a command in Embird Studio. This is perfect for creating the checkered effect on the bears shirt to look like a knitted top. You will need to have Sfumato registered to use this lesson.
