Founder, owner, and designer of Sealed With A Stitch, Sue O'Very began her professional career as a costume designer. After years of working in the design field, Sue became a sales manager for a sewing machine dealer, and then served as a National Educator for Babylock, USA. After many years in the home sewing industry, Sue expanded her horizons to travel the globe and developed her expertise as a fashion and accessory designer. During that time, Sue gained more experience working with unique and challenging textiles including leather.
In 2010, Sue left the corporate world of fashion design to devote full attention to running her small business. Sealed With A Stitch offers a complete line of sewing patterns, embroidery designs, educational sewing DVDs, and the innovative Think Inside the Hoop collections. In 2012, Sealed with a Stitch introduced Sue's new and clever line of Serge~Broidery products. Here, she merges the serger and embroidery machine to become "Best Friends" in creating beautiful works of art that cannot be completed without both machines!
Sealed With A Stitch has had many articles published in Designs in Machine Embroidery and Creative Machine Embroidery magazines and continues to push the envelope of creativity.
Sue loves to draw, digitize, sew, and create new and different projects. What she loves even more is being with sewing students and machine embroidery enthusiasts. Sue's real passion is sharing the tips, techniques, and tools that make sewing easy and fun. If you ever get the opportunity to meet Sue, you will find she is full of life, sewing knowledge, and a few jokes too!
