Shopping Cart - Step by Step Guide

Please browse through the following for step by step directions for ordering with our online shopping cart system.

What is a Shopping Cart? Our shopping cart has been especially built for our website and is designed to make your experience with us simple and fast. You can browse our extensive website and choose from a variety of projects, tutorials, programs, accessories and designs by many different designers.  Just like in a large store, you proceed to the checkout with your cart when you have finished.   How do I use it? All products available for order have a button like this next them together with a short description and price of the product. If you think you might like to make a purchase, just click on the Add to Cart button.  You can always remove items from your cart later on, at the checkout.    If you are ordering an embroidery design, you will need to choose your format first, from the drop down box next to the Add to Cart button. A message like this, at the top of the page, will confirm which product has been added to your cart. Either continue browsing and shopping on the site, or click View Cart to checkout.    Repeat this process, adding items,  until you are ready to check out.   The Checkout Page You will be then be transferred to our Shopping Cart Page to check out. All the products you have selected will be listed there. If you are signed into your My Secrets Account your name will show at the checkout.   Delete Using this button removes the product from your cart.   Add to Wish List  If you would like to remove a product from your cart, and save it to your wish list for later, use this button. It will then be saved to your wishlist in your My Secrets Account area.   Promotional Code  If a code is given as part of a promotion, enter it here and click the Update button.  Your cart will be updated to reflect the discount and the total will be changed.   Bonus Sets and Specials will show at the checkout. Scroll down the page for further information on viewing these in the checkout, changing them etc.   Update Use this button to update your order if you use a Promotional Code, or are using Secrets Dollars as part of your Payment.   Select Your Payment  When you are happy with the contents of your Shopping Cart, select your Payment Method and complete your order. Click through to our Payment Page for full help and information on this.   Download and Delivery of your Order. Once your payment has been processed, tutorials, ebooks and designs may be downloaded at once. Printed books, CD's, needles, thread and stabilizers are mailed and should reach you within 7 business days. Embird passwords will be emailed to you within 24 hours. Click through to our Downloading Page for full help and information on downloading.

The following information shows how the Bonus Sets and Specials will show at the checkout. 

Bonus Set If you order $30 from anywhere on the Secrets of Embroidery Website, you qualify for a free bonus set of designs.  All current bonus sets can be viewed here. The most recent bonus set will be automatically added to your shopping cart, when the total is $30 or more.  This is the total value of your shopping cart after any specials and discounts have been applied. Change your Bonus Set  If you wish to change your bonus set, just click on the link that says "Change your Bonus Set" in your shopping cart.   This will take you through to the Bonus Set page.  Use the SELECT button on the bonus set page, to choose your free set.  Do not use the Add to Cart buttons further down the bonus set page as these will add a charge to your order.   (Please note that we do NOT give a free set for every $30 ordered.  We do give a free set for every order OVER $30.  So if your order totals $120, you do not get 4 Bonus Sets!!)

Discount Sale This special qualifies you for a specified percentage of the product price advertised on the design page. The discount will be applied at the checkout.  Any items that have a discount sale applied will show with the pink On Sale banner beside the Add to Cart button. This sale will be shown at the checkout with the full product price listed, and then the percentage discounted. The total is automatically updated to include the discount.

Gift With Order This promotion entitles you to a free gift from the supplier, when you order from them during the promotion.  Sometimes a minimum order amount is specified  to qualify for the free gift. The free gift will not show at the checkout, until the minimum amount has been added to your cart. The free gift will then be shown at the checkout.

Buy One Get One Free Special Purchase one set, and get a second set of equal or lesser value FREE. The set must be purchased from the same supplier to qualify. You will be notified at the checkout if you qualify for a free set from a supplier running this special. Just click through on the link provided to visit the suppliers site, and add a second set of your choice to your cart. Now return to your cart.  The set of equal or lesser value is automatically discounted and included FREE with your order.

Delivery on CD All our designs are available for instant download and we are happy to help you learn how to download them.  We can also try sending them by an email attachment if you are unable to download.  We really encourage you try these options first before requesting the CD. Some of our designers will send their designs on CD for an additional cost. If they have this option available, it will show at the checkout where you can add it to your order. Tick the box for delivery on disk at the checkout and ensure you click the UPDATE button. The CD Delivery Option will be added to your order and your total will change.
