Heirloom Shadow Work Borders

Available for immediate download. Please click on each picture to see a larger view.

The shadow work borders in this set are made using a twin needle. When embroidered on light or sheer fabrics such as batiste, lightweight linen, silk organza, etc., the two top threads combine underneath and show through the fabric, creating a slightly raised "shadow" effect. These borders and frames are beautiful on clothing, linens, and other heirloom projects. Detailed instructions are included in a PDF file.

Please note that SEW format only contains the 2x2 designs, PCS format contains 2x2 and 4x4 designs, and JEF format contains 2x2, 4x4, and 5x7 designs. ART, HUS, PES, and VIP formats contain the entire set.

The pictures below show what each design will look like when sewn with a twin needle. The shaded area indicates the shadow work.
