Trapunto Baby Owls
Trapunto means "to embroider". A technique which originated in Italy, this method of quilting is also called "stuffed technique". In the past, Trapunto was done by hand or machine by utilizing two to three layers; the main fabric, the wadding and a piece of muslin. The muslin needed to be slit and stuffed to produce the raised effect.
This machine Trapunto is quick and easy to do. You only need the top fabric plus wadding as a stabilizer. The final effect is very attractive.
These Owls can also be embroidered without the padding. The designs are suitable for quilt squares, garments, pillows and clothing.
Three hoop sizes are available for individual purchase.
All the images are from the actual stitch outs. Art from Diddybag.
These Owls will look lovely on tote bags, t-shirts, clothing, cushions covers, kitchen and bath linens.
Embroider them on a satin fabric and use a non stick batting to bring out the detail of the design. You can later place another piece of batting and work a stipple stitch around to make the designs more prominent. They will look great with hot fix rhinestones. Let your imagination guide you to create some amazing designs!
