My Computer Secrets - Embroidered Notebook Cover by Heather Beckett

This Note Book Cover is made in the 5x7 hoop and has two small pockets on the inside that will come in very handy.

The only sewing necessary is to join the front to the back with a french seam.

Just slip a pen into the elastic inserts and it keeps the note book closed and your pen where you need it.

USE A SPIRAL BOUND NOTEBOOK - FREE Computer Tip by Pat Snyder "The Computerist"

Keep a spiral notebook just for information about your pc and events that have occurred.  Mark down the dates, what happened, to whom you may have spoken and what the resolution was.  It is easy to forget how you solved a problem 6 weeks or 6 months ago.

Pat uses the following system in her notebook:

  • Use a highlighter for things like Links, Addresses and Phones (find a person, place or thing)
  • Circle Problem Descriptions/Names (really large circles that stand out)
  • Place a large arrow pointing to activities that need to be done at a later time or for follow up.  (but larger!)
  • All of these allow her to leaf through her notebook to recall information quickly. 

Why a spiral notebook?  It becomes an historical document that you will refer to from time to time. 

Other methods tend to get separated or shuffled. 

Date your input as well; you will be glad you did!
