As ethereal and lovely as a sweet summer garden, these delicate flowers would delight even the fairy queen herself! Simple stitch outlines create the templates for the blooms and leaves. Three flower center embroidery designs are included with the template designs. Dragonfly and butterfly designs complete the garden. This tutorial illustrates the potential of using machine embroidery as a tool worthy of even a master couturier!
Cutting out dozens of identical pieces is done quickly and easily when layers of fabrics are stitched all at once in the hoop using the template designs. The flower petals are attached to the project fabric using the flower center designs. Reverse appliqué is used to accent the wing portions of the embroidered butterflies and dragonfly.
There are 31 embroidery designs in this tutorial. One dragonfly, two butterflies and an assortment of leaf, flower petals, flower end caps and flower center designs. All designs have been saved as single designs and in groupings. They fit into either the 4x4 or 5x7 hoop. ART and PES formats contain an extra 6x10 file, which is a grouping of the longest leaf. (It is not necessary to have a 6x10 hoop as this long leaf design is also saved as a single design, rotated to fit in the 5x7 hoop.)
Complete, step-by-step instructions with photos and illustrations are included with the designs as a pdf document.
