Two Cutwork Pillows ~ Twice as Nice!

Cutwork embroidery is one of the prettiest forms of embroidery. This is an heirloom technique where portions of the fabric are cut away and removed completely, leaving open areas within the embroidery design. With these two pillow projects, Michelle thought it would be fun to have cute fabric behind the embroidery giving the project a unique look with a lot of interest.

These pillows are simple to embroider with fun detail and a special look with fabric showing behind the embroidery.  You will also enjoy the many other sewing features these pillows have such as puffing strips, ruffles, lace insertion, decorative stitching and more. Once you have completed these projects, you will find many wonderful uses for the techniques you have learned.

	Betty selected peach and aqua for her pillowcase. Her aqua fabric looks darling peeking through her cutwork. Gina used cream colored pearls to coordinate with her fabric selection. Gina made her pillowcase using cream colored lace, pearls and cute pink, blue and cream buttons to coordinate with all her darling fabrics. Look at how her inner pillow fabric that shows through the embroidery!
