4D Applique Frames Tutorial

In this tutorial Carolyn explains how you can Edit and Combine Designs and Create Appliqué frames.
Carolyn shows you how to utilize the great features of 4D Embroidery Extra to edit and create new designs from various parts of other designs. Also included with this tutorial are two appliqué designs that you can use to make your own appliqué frames.
The tutorial contains four exercises covering the following topics:

Appliqué Circle
You will learn how to cut a section from an existing design and use the Encore tool to make a circular design. When combined with the circular appliqué design provided with the tutorial you will have created an appliqué frame.

Appliqué Square
In this exercise you will use the shapes tab to create a square border design that can be combined with the square applique design provided to make another frame design.

Combining Designs
In this exercise you will learn how to cut out sections of designs and recombine them to create new designs. You can use this technique to add accents to a pocket or create a series of related designs.

Monogram Clown
In this exercise you will use the lettering tab to make a large letter that can be combined with the clown design. This time the two designs to be combined together will overlap so the "remove overlap" tool is used to remove the stitches underneath the clown. This feature allows you to be very creative with designs.
