After embroidery is finished (See appliqué tutorial if you are not familiar with appliqué embroidery)
Remove design from hoop and cut
away excess stabilizer

tut02.jpg

Note the area between the handle and the flap. Use sharp point scissors and cut along the this area – See photo close-up

tut03.jpg

The flap will now stand up and you will be
able to fold the flap inward

tut04.jpg

Add ribbon (3” or 7cm) to the inside
of the bag

tut05.jpg

Add key ring onto ribbon

tut06.JPG

Add keys to key ring

tut07.jpg

For fastening: We used a magnetic clip
(available from most haberdashery dealers)

Mark the area with fabric pen

tut08.jpg

Add holes to insert magnetic clip (or
ask Hubby to help out)

tut09.jpg

Add embellishment (This embellishment is freestanding lace part of the
“FREESTANDING LACE DAISY JOY”
collection).

tut10.jpg

We used a glue gun to attach embellishment

tut11.jpg

Fold the bag in half, fold over the flap and
the clip can be fastened

This is what your bag looks like. Use as a key holder or any item we so frequently loose…lol. Also remember this will make a lovely purse for change if you close the side seams. A quick and easy “All-in-the-Hoop” project if you need a beautiful gift “with a difference”

tut13.jpg

This is what the back looks like

tut14.JPG

Easy to carry in your hand and beautiful to look at… The complete bag measures 11cm /4.5” in height and 13cm /5” in width at the widest area

Different accessory bags for the 5x7 hoop – definitely a bag for any mood or personality.
Why not change the fabric and thread and
you can have an even larger range of bags…
