Written with the new user in mind, these tutorials have been used all over the world to get Generations users creating embroidery instantly. The goal of lesson 1, is to create 10 embroideries in 10 minutes!....and that includes remembering to breathe!

Lessons 1 & 2 - Introduction to the Work Space PLUS Running with Scissors!

An introduction to the Generations software work space and instant gratification that will get your heart racing while creating 10 embroidery designs in a matter of minutes! Tips on sizing a design to suit your hoop is included.

Lesson 3 - Words That Move Me! & Side Splitting Fun!

We all want to embroider names on items, but size and font type must interact! Have fun with this exercise and begin to embroider names and monograms on everything.

What ever you can do to an embroidery, you can do to a font - in Generations. See how easy it is to split a design then you can use that knowledge for splitting large designs fit for a smaller hoop, or just use it to create some great embroidery effects!

Lesson 4 - Bee Different from the Crowd! & My Heart Beats to a Different Drum!

Just because it looks good on screen, that doesn't mean it will make a good embroidery. Learn how to spot stitch direction issues before you embroider them.

Lesson 5 - You're a Bright Spark & More Than Just Sewing Feet

Now you're all fired up, you can start personalizing your embroideries by adding in elements and doing some 'fancy foot work' with embroidery elements and fonts!

Out of The Box Generations Tutorials come as a set of five lessons (plus artwork required) for immediate download, making 69 pages in total. They are packed with fun instructions that will educate you along the way.

Find What You're Looking For

Our Search Box appears at the top right of every page.

There are 3 ways to use it:

1. Search
Choose the type of product you are looking for: This is pre-set to Designs and will automatically search all embroidery designs on our site. You can choose from the drop down list to refine your search to one type of product, eg "Tutorials" or make it broader eg "All Products"

Enter a search word: Easy - just click in this box, type in your search word and click on the GO button. Type in lowercase and don't use plurals, Don't use words like "the" or "and". Use American spelling.

You will see pictures of the designs found that match your search. Click on the pictures you are interested in to see the designs in full and all the details you need to know (description, size, price, special offers, etc).

2. Choose a category
Instead of searching for a word, choose one of our quick category searches from this drop down list. Then choose a sub-category from the box on the right. By clicking between the category list that on the left and the sub-category list on the right, you can see pictures of all our items. This is a great way to find what you want at Secrets.

3. Choose a designer
Another alternative is to select one of our designers from the drop down list, and can visit their specific website.
