Digitizing Tutorials by Victoria McKeown

Generations Software Tutorial

Generations Tutorial
Written with the new user in mind, these tutorials have been used all over the world to get Generations users creating embroidery instantly. The goal of lesson 1, is to create 10 embroideries in 10 minutes!....and that includes remembering to breathe!

Have fun and be inspired to create your OWN embroidery designs and learn the 'Why's' and 'Why Not's' along the way.

Vicky has been in the sewing industry since she was 16 years old. When domestic embroidery machines were introduced to Australia around 1994 she was addicted. And more so to the software that drove them, than anything!

The domestic sewing and embroidery industry has changed and evolved so rapidly since then and remains to do so with new machines and software launched continually. It is her love of machine embroidery and software that Vicky has become so well known for.

Travelling as part of a team around the USA doing Embroidery Educational seminars, Vicky's view that there is a lack of good embroidery education around the world, was confirmed. She has made it her commitment to make sure all of the machine embroidery 'old wives tales' are confirmed or denied, by presenting some easy to understand, machine embroidery foundation skill work-books.

Vicky believes that, in an industry that is quite small and still in its infancy, relatively speaking, it is surprising how much of the machine embroidery 'knowledge' is purely made up! Vicky was guest speaker at Australia's inaugural Computerised Embroidery Convention in December 2007. A function that gathered over 700 digitisers and machine embroiderers from around the Country to share and display their work, and to seek machine embroidery knowledge!
