These designs were inspired while Hope was teaching at the International Husqvarna Viking Dealer Convention in Nashville Tennessee. Hope had the privilege of attending a show at the Grand Ole Opry and fell in love with the sparkly white lace with silver metallic highlights. If you have a collection of crystals, this is the perfect design set to use some of your small 3mm AB crystals. How about using these on a denim jacket, up the legs of jeans. Try using your own color combination like tea-dyed laces on blue jeans.

The foundation fabric for the appliqué designs is netting but you can use any type of lace that you can buy off the bolt. It doesn’t matter if you are using a lace fabric; simply embroider over it for a more ornate look & use gold metallic thread highlights. The possibilities are endless. Experiment with velvet & silk appliqué fabrics instead of the netting.

I first saw Hope on Pfaff's, Behind The Seams. It really took my breath away. I have been sewing for over 40 years, and I have wanted to do heirloom sewing for as long as I can remember -- but never had the courage to try. Our Search Box appears at the top right of every page.

There are 3 ways to use it:

1. Search
Choose the type of product you are looking for: This is pre-set to Designs and will automatically search all embroidery designs on our site. You can choose from the drop down list to refine your search to one type of product, eg "Tutorials" or make it broader eg "All Products"

Enter a search word: Easy - just click in this box, type in your search word and click on the GO button. Type in lowercase and don't use plurals, Don't use words like "the" or "and". Use American spelling.

You will see pictures of the designs found that match your search. Click on the pictures you are interested in to see the designs in full and all the details you need to know (description, size, price, special offers, etc).

2. Choose a category
Instead of searching for a word, choose one of our quick category searches from this drop down list. Then choose a sub-category from the box on the right. By clicking between the category list that on the left and the sub-category list on the right, you can see pictures of all our items. This is a great way to find what you want at Secrets.

3. Choose a designer
Another alternative is to select one of our designers from the drop down list, and can visit their specific website.
