Converting Designs

Embird 2012 can convert to many different embroidery designs formats. The following tutorial uses Embird 2004 pictures as a guide but the steps are the same in Embird 2012. For a full list of supported embroidery formats in Embird click here.

1 - Run Embird.
2 - Select the designs which you want to convert in the "Files:" box at the right side of the screen (Picture No. 1). To select the designs, please move mouse pointer to the file name of the first design ("DACHSHND.DST" in this example), depress the left mouse button and hold it down while moving the mouse pointer over the file names of the other designs. When the mouse pointer is over the last design ("SNAIL.DST" in this example), please release the left mouse button.

3 - Select "Right Panel -> Convert Files" menu to convert the selected files (Picture No. 2).

4 - A dialog box will appear on the screen, allowing you to choose the target design format (Picture No. 3). Specify the format by clicking on appropriate radio button (e.g. Viking Husqvarna .HUS) and click "OK" button to continue with file conversion.

5 - The conversion process will start and last for a while. Once it is finished, the converted files will be stored in the same folder, as the source files - see the list in "Files:" box at the right side of the screen, it contains the new .HUS files (Picture No. 4).

Find What You're Looking For

Our Search Box appears at the top right of every page.

There are 3 ways to use it:

1. Search
Choose the type of product you are looking for: This is pre-set to Designs and will automatically search all embroidery designs on our site. You can choose from the drop down list to refine your search to one type of product, eg "Tutorials" or make it broader eg "All Products"

Enter a search word: Easy - just click in this box, type in your search word and click on the GO button. Type in lowercase and don't use plurals, Don't use words like "the" or "and". Use American spelling.

You will see pictures of the designs found that match your search. Click on the pictures you are interested in to see the designs in full and all the details you need to know (description, size, price, special offers, etc).

2. Choose a category
Instead of searching for a word, choose one of our quick category searches from this drop down list. Then choose a sub-category from the box on the right. By clicking between the category list that on the left and the sub-category list on the right, you can see pictures of all our items. This is a great way to find what you want at Secrets.

3. Choose a designer
Another alternative is to select one of our designers from the drop down list, and can visit their specific website.
