Trapunto is method of hand or machine quilting where extra padding is added behind the top layer of a quilt so that the area inside the quilting lines puffs out more than the surrounding surface of the top.
Note the detailed stippling on each block. This creates a lovely, interesting background that enhances the 3D effect when your design "stands out" after stitching. Full instructions included for an easy-to-make collection.
Stipple & Satin Cord
There have been so many requests for stippling design and corded-satin design so to give Trapunto designs a lovely finish...so now you can also use them as you please with any design. Even embroider a Monogram on top of the stippling gives new life to an old design. Enjoy!
