Louisa Meyer and her family live in Kempton Park, South Africa. She has a diverse sewing background with years of experience in tailoring, dress designing, crafts and creative sewing techniques. With the introduction of new technology in embroidery her passion turned to machine embroidery and digitizing which lead to the well known Bernina Tassels & Trims Book, embroidery cards, the popular "Pretty Princess" and a number of other embroidered projects featured in Designs In Machine Embroidery. Since then Louisa has been conducting workshops and digitizing classes around SA.  Her latest book is "From Tassels To Textures".

Now with the encouragement of a few digitizing friends she has her own website, Louisa Meyer Originals. Her collections are of the best quality, highly detailed and colorful designs. She uses the Bernina 830, Bernina Artista 200 E, Bernina Artista Designer Plus Software V 6 and Artista Software V4 to create her masterpieces. All her designs are tested for other formats by friends in SA and USA. Louisa's motto for life is : "Take up all challenges and create opportunities."
