Have a bit of fun with your dinner guests. Set your table with these slightly ‘tongue in cheek’ place mats. Heather deliberately wanted her set to be hard to read so she used hand dyed cotton, with a mottled effect, and stitched the designs tone on tone. Her placemats are not all the same colour, just the same type of hand dyed material. It will be so interesting to watch your guests trying to read all the sayings. You could also use a floral material and stitch in the predominant or the least visible colour. Each placemat is made up of 4 designs. There is nothing complicated about making these placemats. Very accurate re-hooping is NOT essential, there is quite a bit of lee way built in, but trying to hoop as accurately as possible is always best.
These placemats are made in the large hoop, they come in ART 180 & 200, JEF and HUS formats, all come in 6x8" size and PES includes 5x7" and 6x10" sizes.
