Hate #9: XP Crash Reports :-(
Symptom: Every time something goes wrong with a program, XP wants to send a crash report to Microsoft. I'll wager the person that suggested this doesn't get a coffee break!
Solution: Switch this "feature" off completely.
Stopping these report prompts is easy.
Open "System" in the Control Panel. Click the "Advanced" tab and then the "Error Reporting" button.
If you want absolutely no notification about any errors, check "Disable error reporting" and uncheck the "But notify me when critical errors occur" box. (FYI: I leave this box checked so I can see details of the crash, something that helps me troubleshoot system problems.) Click OK, then OK again.
