There's no better way to share family traditions and memories than with a personalized gift like a family tree. Purple Hat's four generation family tree project is a superb gift idea for weddings, special birthdays, anniversaries and retirement. This project is an Appli-quilt because it combines appliqué and quilting. The designs are appliquéd onto the base fabric and the blue sky background is also stipple quilted in the hoop. The completed design consists of 30 blocks, made up of 5 rows and 6 columns. Each block fits the 4x4 hoop. The finished size is 22.4 x 18.4 inches or 56 x 46 cm.This project can be used as a wall-hanging or the center panel of a quilt.
You will receive 30 designs for the 4x4 hoop which make up the Family Tree appli-quilt as well as a text file with design, appliqué and color stop information. You will also receive two bitmap worksheets for you to print out and use. One is a guideline showing the design layout and the family relationships. The other is a blank worksheet for you to fill in your own family tree information.
