Did you know the pocket-handkerchief is 400 years old. It was the ingenious idea of an aristocratic Venetian lady to cut a square out of pure flax and decorated it with lace. She showed it in the course of a promenade in a public garden, where the delicate handkerchief excited the general curiosity of the on lookers.
Now you can make your own lace handkerchiefs easily. These fine collections includes a single color or two-tone lace hankie for mother or grandmother, and designs to make into a little sachet you can fill with potpourri lavender, a ring-pillow or confetti sachet on a wedding day. You can also personalize these with your own fonts or add lace edging for additional decorations. (the lace edging shown in the pictures is not part of the design)
