Quilted Pot Holders

These Quilted Pot Holders come in 3 sizes. The most practical size is made in the 6x8" hoop and the finished pot holder size is 6x6". There are two smaller sizes available for the smaller 5x7" and 4x4" hoop size. The finished pot holders for these two smaller sizes are 5x5" and 4x4" in size.

Instructions for Pot Holders

 


Hoop 1 layer tear away or one layer Water soluble vilene

Spray with 505 adhesive spray

Place one layer of Heattex (Heat resistant batting)

Spray again with 505 adhesive spray

Place one layer of polyester cotton fabrick in the color of your choice on top of the Heattex.

Turn the hoop and spray with 505.

Place a piece of the same fabric to the backside of the hoop

Use Lubricant spray.....

to the spray the machine needle when working with adhesive spray

Stitch the first color of the design

Cut the fabric on the back side away close to the edge

Cut the Heattex and the fabric away close to the edge

Remove from machine but keep in hoop

Cut a 12cm piece of ribbon. Fold in half and tape in the corner

Put back in machine and stitch the next color

Cut close to the stitching line

The final step wil secure the ribbon. Stitch the rest of the potholder

Tear or wash away the stabilizer. It's ready for use!!!
