Jewels of Japan was inspired by the movie "The Last Samurai" shot in beautiful New Zealand. Many have long admired the beautiful art from Japan, China, Taiwan, and Korea. Last year Cardinal designs brought out Legends of the Orient and Mandarin Gardens, their Chinese design collections. This year they have added designs with a slightly different look of Japanese art. Jewels Of Japan 4x4
This collection of designs to be used in the smaller hoop. These designs can be used as connecting blocks for your quilt, or combined with the use of multihoops.
Jewels of Japan 5x7
This collection has 12 large beautiful designs for quilt blocks, pillow centers or the back of a blouse or vest.
Jewels of Japan Borders 5x7
This collection has 10 borders that will work as borders for quilts and vests or even for a set of table linens such as placemats.
All collections have several "blank" designs. This is so you can use the designs with other designs you may have in your collections such as designs from Cardinal's Legends Of The Orient and Mandarin Garden sets. Many motifs used by one Asian country work with designs from another. Cardinal have chosen designs from their Mandarin Gardens to show you how these blanks can be used with other designs you own. You will find these design samples sewn on black fabric.
