These designs have a unique hand made look as they have been digitized manually to mimic the technique of free motion embroidery, although they are stitched on an embroidery machine. They are deliberatly a little untidy, to give this type of effect.
Each section of the designs is based on an appliqué system of three steps. · A line of placement stitches · A line of stitching to hold the fabric while it is trimmed · The final top stitching
In many of the designs these steps are repeated so that you can appliqué a variety of shapes in layers. The actual colors in the designs are not significant as they are meant to provide stops for the appliqué steps. One thread color could be used for most of the design. Stitched out with glitzy fabrics and metallic threads, they look fantastic!
